I initially qualified as a Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer in London in 2000 before moving north to train as a Physiotherapist at Keele University in 2002. After graduating from Keele in 2005, I worked in the Cardiac Rehabilitation Department at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire, as well as in Fitness Centres in Staffordshire and Shropshire and at the Stoke City Football Club Academy. In 2006 I moved to Chester to study for an MSc in Exercise and Nutrition Science. After completing this in 2007, I returned to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire in my current role as Consultant Exercise Physiologist. I currently also work as a Physiotherapist at Total Fitness Health and Fitness Club in Chester and as Director of Cheshire-based health promotion company New Leaf Trainers. I have recently been given the opportunity to manage a private Physiotherapy Clinic at Keele University.
Since being involved with ACPET, I have so far delivered courses in Exercise Prescription to Physiotherapists in Hertfordshire, Chester, Nottingham and Dorset.
My professional interests include cardiac rehabilitation, clinical exercise physiology and exercise for health.
